O Driscoll drives U16A's back into contention

After a 3 - 0 defeat last week to Ballybrack, the U16A's bounced back with a 3 - 0 home win over Firhouse. Firhouse had previously beaten us earlier in the season; a match we should never have lost.
Yesterday's result was both important & timely. Frank Ryan, six goal hero against Killester, continued his fine run of form with a hat trick.
The team performed solidly throughout with particularly impressive contributions from sweeper Chris Riordan & 'keeper Dave O Mahony (briiliant penalty save which 'wowed' the spectators). On the rare occasions that James Cotter has been substituted (last week), he certainly knows how to send a message to the management when next playing (yesterday). James was superb at left-full. His opponent certainly found him 'stingy'; James gave him nothing over 80 mins.
'Man-of-the-Match however was midfielder Rory O Driscoll. His effort was Roy Keane like, with box-to-box cover, midfield creativity & the ability to make things happen. Rory is a quiet lad but actions speak louder than words & his drive, skill & impact were very impressive. 'Keep it going Rory'
Congrats to all 15 who played & all of whom made an important contribution. Celebrations end Tuesday 14th boys!!!
